- 1 large onion, choppd
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 large bay leaf
- 2 quarts chicken broth
- 2 cans cannellini beans n red kidney beans (i used pink beans with cannellini beans) draind
- 3/4 cup small pasta ...elbow, tiny shells (i used tubetti)
- - parmesan cheese

Step 1IN A LARGE POT HEAT 2 TBLSPNS OF OLIVE OIL N ADD CHOPPD BACON N COOK FOR 3 MINUTES STIRRING OCCASIONALLY. THEN ADD CHOPPD ONION N GARLIC N COOK FOR 3 MORE MINUTES.

Step 2ADD 2 TBLSPNS OF TOMATO PASTE. STIR N LET COOK ON LOW FOR 3 MINUTES.

Step 3ADD 2 QUARTS OF CHICKEN BROTH N 2 CANS OF STRAIND BEANS, ROSEMARY N THYME SPRIGS N THE BAY LEAF...I ALSO ADDED 1/4 TSP OF CRUSHD RED PEPPER (OPTIONAL) BRING TO A BOIL THEN REDUCE TO SIMMER N COOK FOR 10 MINUTES

Step 4REMOVE SPRIGS OF ROSEMARY N THYME DONT FORGET THE BAY LEAF...N ADD PASTA, STIR N COOK FOR 7-8 MINUTES OR UNTIL PASTA IS ALDENTE.
