Organic Black Bean Soup

Margaret Paddock

I had no soup in the house but I had a can of Organic Black Beans so I came up with this recipe. What's nice about it is you can put as much or little of the other ingredients in it as you like or double it.

1 can(s)
organic black beans
1/4 c
onions, chopped fine
1/4 c
celery, chopped fine
1 clove
garlic or more, chopped fine
1 Tbsp
vegetable oil
1/4 tsp
1/4 tsp
chili powder or to taste

1Heat oil in pot and add chopped onion. Cook until translucent. Add garlic and celery and cook until celery is soft enough to insert fork easily.
2Add 1 can organic black beans, cumin and chili powder. Heat until warm enough to serve.
3You can add hot sauce if desired and serve with toasted bread and a salad for a meal.
This can be doubled with no problem.
