I had no soup in the house but I had a can of Organic Black Beans so I came up with this recipe. What's nice about it is you can put as much or little of the other ingredients in it as you like or double it.

Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    organic black beans
  • 1/4 c
    onions, chopped fine
  • 1/4 c
    celery, chopped fine
  • 1 clove
    garlic or more, chopped fine
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp
    cumin
  • 1/4 tsp
    chili powder or to taste

How to Make Organic Black Bean Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oil in pot and add chopped onion. Cook until translucent. Add garlic and celery and cook until celery is soft enough to insert fork easily.
  2. Add 1 can organic black beans, cumin and chili powder. Heat until warm enough to serve.
  3. You can add hot sauce if desired and serve with toasted bread and a salad for a meal.
    This can be doubled with no problem.
