    lentils, dry (16 oz)
  • 8 c
    water
  • 1
    tomato
  • 1/4
    onion
  • 1 clove
    garlic
  • 3
    carrots
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    cilantro, fresh
  • 1 pinch
    pepper

How to Make Lentil Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Wash the vegetables and chop them in small pieces. Heat a medium pot with some cooking spray, place the onion and garlic first, cook for 2-3 minutes, add carrots and tomato, cook for 3 more minutes
  2. Preheat the water in a tea kettle and transfer the vegetables, water and add lentils to a slow cooker.
  3. Set the slow cooker on high, add salt pepper and cilantro, Cook for 4 hours or until the lentils are tender but not mushy. Enjoy!
