I love to eat soup in the winter, but sometime i joy it in the summer. this is a go to soup when there alot of people that come over..

Ingredients

  • 2 cups onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon chives
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds canned great northern beans
  • 3 1/2 cups fat-free low sodium chicken broth, or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup celery, sliced
  • 12 cloves garlic, peeled, crushed
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 3 slices steak ham,chopped

How To Make garlic bean soup with ham

  • Step 1
    Saute onion, carrots, celery and garlic in oil in large saucepan for 3-4 minutes. Add chicken broth and beans; heat to boiling reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, 5-8 minutes. Process soup in food processor or blender until smooth. Serve in bowl; sprinkle with chives.
