Ingredients
- 2 cups onion
- 1/4 teaspoon chives
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 pounds canned great northern beans
- 3 1/2 cups fat-free low sodium chicken broth, or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup celery, sliced
- 12 cloves garlic, peeled, crushed
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 3 slices steak ham,chopped
How To Make garlic bean soup with ham

Step 1Saute onion, carrots, celery and garlic in oil in large saucepan for 3-4 minutes. Add chicken broth and beans; heat to boiling reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, 5-8 minutes. Process soup in food processor or blender until smooth. Serve in bowl; sprinkle with chives.
