Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups chana dahl beans
- 8 cups stock or water - your choice
- 1 cup onion - chopped
- 2 - celery stalks- chopped
- 1 to 2 cups lean ham or turkey or ham hock
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
How To Make chana dahl soup - diabetic

Step 1Heat all ingredients to boiling in a 4 quart dutch oven, stirring occasionally, reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 hour to 1 ½ hours. Remove ham, let cool enough to handle cut into pieces & return to soup. Heat again to boiling. Simmer 30 minutes or until soup is desired consistency.
