black bean soup from the kitchen doctor
(1 RATING)
Note: Beans are diuretic, but these little black turtle beans are good for stamina. When the kidneys are tired and people are suffering from fatigue as well as fluid retention and/or edema, this soup can be consumed in large quantities on a daily basis for weeks or months. Some people will lose as much as 30 pounds in ten days IF the weight consists mainly of fluids rather than fat. Where there is a mixture of fluids and fat, more spices will promote fat metabolism and the turmeric will help emulsify and remove the fat from the gall bladder and kidneys.

How To Make black bean soup from the kitchen doctor
-
Step 1Sauté in cumin seeds in clarified butter or extra virgin olive oil until golden brown. Do not burn the seeds!
-
Step 2Add chopped garlic and chopped onion and sauté until the onions are translucent. Add black turtle beans and ample water (use large pot.) Add the chili pepper. When the beans start to become a bit tender, add the turmeric powder and some ginger. When the beans are completely tender, add the bouillon for flavor.
-
Step 3While the beans continue to cook, drink the liquid (which should be a bit thick.) Top off the water and add more turmeric and ginger and bouillon to taste. Eat as much as desired, but do not refrigerate and reheat. The beans can be kept warm in a slow cooker and eaten several times a day to build stamina and drain fluids from the body.
