This is a great, easy recipe for black bean soup. I have always loved black bean soup and have finally perfected my own version! You can add extra ingredients to your liking! Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 can black beans (15 oz), drained
- 1 can corn, drained
- 2/3 jar hot salsa
- 1 can green chiles, chopped (small can)
- 1 can black beans (29 oz)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic
- - olive oil
- - cumin
- - red pepper flakes, optional
How To Make black bean soup

Step 1In a large pot, saute garlic in olive oil. While garlic is cooking, puree half of the 29 oz can of black beans. (Do not drain this can.)

Step 2Add chicken broth to the pot of garlic then stir in the pureed black beans.

Step 3Add all remaining ingredients and stir well to combine. Bring soup to a low boil and then simmer for 20 minutes or so until you reach desired consistency.

Step 4Top with cheese and serve with corn bread or tortilla chips. Enjoy!
