This is a great, easy recipe for black bean soup. I have always loved black bean soup and have finally perfected my own version! You can add extra ingredients to your liking! Enjoy!

Ingredients For black bean soup

1 canblack beans (15 oz), drained

1 cancorn, drained
-
2/3 jarhot salsa
-
1 cangreen chiles, chopped (small can)

1 canblack beans (29 oz)

2 cchicken broth
-
3 clovegarlic
-
olive oil
-
cumin
-
red pepper flakes, optional
How To Make black bean soup

1In a large pot, saute garlic in olive oil. While garlic is cooking, puree half of the 29 oz can of black beans. (Do not drain this can.)

2Add chicken broth to the pot of garlic then stir in the pureed black beans.

3Add all remaining ingredients and stir well to combine. Bring soup to a low boil and then simmer for 20 minutes or so until you reach desired consistency.

4Top with cheese and serve with corn bread or tortilla chips. Enjoy!
