mama's sugar plums
This is a variation on a Holiday treat my mom used to make. She used a Moulie, but a food processor makes it much easier.

Makes 3 dz. sugar plums
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup dried apricots
- 1/3 cup dried cherries
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup dates, chopped
- 1/4 cup pecans, in pieces
- COATNGS
- 1/4 cup ground almonds
- 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
- COMBINE THE FOLLOWING FOR A THIRD VARIATION
- 1 tablespoon graham cracker crumbs
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
How To Make mama's sugar plums

Step 1Place all ingredients in bowl of food processor fitted with blade. Process on high until ingredients form a large ball.

Step 2Roll into acorn-sized balls. Roll in various coatings and place in a single layer on cookie sheet covered in waxed paper. Allow to sit until sugar plums are dry to the touch.

Step 3Refrigerate for at least two weeks before serving to allow flavors to mingle. Keep refrigerated.
