My son Jemilah and I prepared this together, well he prepared it and I provided the adult supervision. He is 14 and autistic, but capable of doing simple tasks like this, and the look of accomplishment on his face was pricless. Very simple, just 3 ingredients and if the broiler is too much for your little chefs, after toasting the bread, the microwave will work just fine.

2 slice
whole grain wheat toast
4 slice
turkey breast, oven roasted
2 slice
amish cheddar

How to Make Jemilah's Roasted turkey Grilled Cheese

Step-by-Step

  • 1To start let's wash our hands, then place the bread in the toaster.
  • 2Crank oven up to broil.In a pan place the toast with 2 slices of turkey on each piece of bread. Then top with the cheese.
  • 3Put on oven mitts and place under broiler for 6-7 minutes or the cheese is bubbly.
  • 4Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Jemilah ate his with potato salad, and sweet gherkins. (He loves both).
