  • 7 c
    popped popcorn
  • 4 c
    crispix cereal
  • 4 c
    apple jacks cereal
  • 2 c
  • 1 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    light corn syrup
  • 2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda

How to Make Caramel Apple Snack Mix


  1. Combine popcorn, cereals, and peanuts in a large bowl; set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine brown sugar, margarine, and syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, over medium-low heat.
  3. Once it comes to a good boil, cook for 5 minutes, without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda until light and foamy.
  5. Pour over popcorn mix and stir until coated.
  6. Spread onto 2 baking sheets that have been sprayed with PAM. Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
