popped popcorn
4 c
crispix cereal
4 c
apple jacks cereal
2 c
peanuts
1 c
packed brown sugar
1/2 c
margarine
1/2 c
light corn syrup
2 tsp
vanilla
1/2 tsp
baking soda

How to Make Caramel Apple Snack Mix

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine popcorn, cereals, and peanuts in a large bowl; set aside.
  • 2In a large saucepan, combine brown sugar, margarine, and syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, over medium-low heat.
  • 3Once it comes to a good boil, cook for 5 minutes, without stirring.
  • 4Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda until light and foamy.
  • 5Pour over popcorn mix and stir until coated.
  • 6Spread onto 2 baking sheets that have been sprayed with PAM. Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • 7Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
