I haven't tried this candy recipe, but sounds so good. Pretty easy and want to share.

  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    orange juice, fresh
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 5 oz
    matzo, finely crumbled
  • 1 c

How to Make INGBERLACH-Jewish Candy


  1. Lightly oil a rimmed baking sheet
  2. In a large saucepan, over medium heat
  3. combine honey, sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, cloves, giger & salt, bring to a simmer and cook 10 minutes
  4. Stir in Matzo & hazelnuts, cook until golden brown and thick. About another 10 minutes.
  5. Using a silicone spatula, spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Allow to cool, until easily handled and using lightly oiled hands, scoop up and rool into 1/2-inch ball. Store in an airtight container with waxed paper between the layers.
