Aunt Carrie was well into her 90's and she always made these nuts to bring to our home for our Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners; She couldn't see well; but that didn't stop her from putting every ounce of love she had for us; into making us our sugared nuts!!

How To Make aunt carrie's sugared nuts

  • Step 1
Bring first 6 ingredients to soft ball stage. Remove from heat; add nuts; stir to coat.
  • Step 2
Line a baking sheet with foil. Spread nuts- breaking apart. Bake at 325* for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes to break apart. Cool thoroughly before storing in tin box. ( I like that storing in tin box; that shows how old the recipe is!) Enjoy!
