How to Make Sweet Popcorn
- Pop all your popcorn. I like to lay a cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet and pour out my popped popcorn over the rack to allow the un-popped kernels to fall through.
- In the meantime put butter, corn syrup and sugar in a pot and bring to a boil. I only let it boil for a minute because we like it to stay soft. The longer you allow it to boil the harder the sweet popcorn will be. Your preference. After its done, take it off the burner and add the vanilla.
- Put all your popcorn in a large bowl and pour it over the popcorn. Stir and enjoy!
- You can adjust this recipe to your preference. Just make sure the three ingredients are always the same portions. When I originally had this recipe at a friend's house she made it with 6 bags of popped popcorn and 2 cups of butter, corn syrup and sugar. That was too sweet for our preference.
