This was my grandma's recipe that she made every Christmas. Be prepared to eat way more of this than you should. It's easy and addicting. It also makes great popcorn balls.

Ingredients

  • 3 quarts popped corn
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, in pieces
  • 2/3 cup almonds, slivered
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup margerine
  • 1/2 cup karo syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make karo krazy krunch

  • Step 1
    Mix the popcorn and nuts. Place in a large bowl that has been buttered (to prevent sticking).
  • Step 2
    Mix sugar, margarine and Karo syrup in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 6 to 10 minutes until it reaches soft ball stage on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  • Step 3
    Pour syrup over popcorn mixture and stir well to coat evenly. Spread on a cookie sheet to cool and then break up into bite sized pieces.
