These Granola Bars are wonderful as a snack. We pack them in a snack sack when we travel. I use white, wholewheat flour which makes them more healthy.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks softened butter, devided
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour (i use white, whole wheat)
  • 1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup granola (without dried fruit)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup sema sweet chocolate chips

How To Make wholesome granola bars

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Cream 1/2 cup softened butter and powdered sugar, Stir in flour.
  • Step 3
    With lightly floured fingers, pat dough into ungreased 9X9 baking pan. Bake 10 minutes
  • Step 4
    Remove from oven, cool 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Spread jam evenly over crust.
  • Step 6
    Combine remaining 1/4 cup melted buter, honey, brown sugar and vanilla flavoring. Stir in oats, granola, pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Step 7
    Pat firmly over jam layer.
  • Step 8
    Bale 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Step 9
    Cool. Cut into 16 bars. Enjoy!!
