Great Way to use fresh tomatoes from your garden

Ingredients

  • 1
    deep dish pie crust
  • 3
    sliced tomatoes
  • 1/2 lb
    cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 c
    mayonaise
  • 1 c
    colby and monterey jack shredded cheese blend
  • 1/2 tsp
    basil
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make

  • 1
    Bake pie crust according to package directions.
  • 2
    Slice tomatoes and lay on paper towels to drain off excess liquid. ( about 25 minutes to an hour)

    Mix together mayonaise and cheese blend together.
  • 4
    Spread sliced tomatoes to bottom of pie crust.
  • 5
    Sprinkle salt,pepper, basil and bacon on tomato layer.
  • 6
    Repeat with another layer of tomatoes .

    Repeat step 6.

    Spread mayonaise mixture on top of tomatoes .

    Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
