Basically standard scone recipe with added extras.

Great for kids parties/lunches etc. If they only eat a couple of these for school lunch at least you know they had a good all round feed to keep them going.

  • 6 c
    standard flour
  • 12 tsp
    baking powder
  • 150 g
  • half tsp
  • 2 tsp
  • 2 c
  • 10
    gummy bears or similar lollies
  • 15
    dried apricots
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 2 slice
    dried mango
  • 1/4 c
    all bran/sultana bran etc

How to Make Party scones


  1. Preheat oven 220c
    line baking tray with baking paper
  2. Into a bowl add 1 cup milk, sugar, bran, sultanas n currents. Finely chop apricots, mango n lollies add to bowl, the longer they sit the better, reduces the amount of moisture they pull from scones.
  3. Into bowl sift flour baking powder n salt. Grate in butter, cream butter thru mix. Add wet ingredients, mix thru. Add milk till right consistency, ideally quite a wet mix.
  4. Sprinkle a lil flour onto bench, roll out scones, cut to a fairly large size approx 3 - 4 inch square.

    Bake 12-15 mins, turn oven off leave 5 mins with residual heat to finish cooking n avoid burning outsides.
