Ingredients

  • 9 c
    crispix or corn chex cereal
  • 1 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    powdered sugar

How to Make Muddy Buddies AKA Puppy Chow

Step-by-Step

  1. Pour the cereal into a large bowl.
  2. Place the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a large bowl. Microwave on high for about 1 minute, then stir. Microwave another minute and then stir until smooth.
  3. Stir the vanilla into the peanut butter/butter mixture. Pour over the cereal and stir until evenly coated.
  4. Put the powdered sugar in a large clean paper sack or plastic bag. Pour the coated cereal mix into the bag and shake it all up until evenly coated.
