Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter, softened
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon bourbon vanilla (trader joes)
- 1 teaspoon orange extract
- 1 tablespoon orange zest (or dried peel)
- 3/4 cup whole wheat four
- 3/4 cup hazelnut meal (bolt's red mill....choices natural market or other organic food store)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 cups rolled oats (thick cut)
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1 cup chopped walnuts

Step 1Cream butter and sugar in mixer.

Step 2Add eggs, vanilla, orange extract ~ beat thoroughly.

Step 3Mix flours, baking soda, cinnamon, and orange zest together before adding to wet mixture ~ mix well.

Step 4Stir in oats, cranberries and walnuts. Mix well.

Step 5Drop by tablespoon size blobs onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 6Bake 10-12 minutes @ 350 degrees or until just golden brown.

Step 7Cool 1 minute or so on cookie sheet.

Step 8Eat and Enjoy!!! For smaller cookies (and bigger batch) cook 8-10 mins until golden brown.
