Ingredients

10 c
steel cut rolled oats (do not use quick or instant)
1 c
wheat germ
1/2 lb
shredded coconut
2 c
raw sunflower seeds
1 c
sesame seeds
3 c
chopped nuts (any kind)
1 1/2 c
brown sugar
1 1/2 c
apple juice
1 1/2 c
vegetable oil or canola oil
1/2 c
honey
1/2 c
blackstrap molasses
1 1/2 tsp
salt
2 tsp
cinnamon
3 tsp
vanilla extract
dried fruit (your choice)

How to Make HOME MADE GRANOLA

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees (F). Combine dry ingredients (except fruit) in a large bowl.
  • 2In a large saucepan combine brown sugar, vanilla, honey, molasses, and apple juice. Heat, do not boil, until sugar is dissolved.
  • 3Stir into dry ingredients until well coated
  • 4onto baking pan or cookie sheet (in batches). Bake 20-30 minutes; stirring occasionally to prevent burning
  • 5Allow to cool. Mix in the dried fruit. Place in large container.
