Ingredients
- 10 cups steel cut rolled oats (do not use quick or instant)
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 pound shredded coconut
- 2 cups raw sunflower seeds
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 3 cups chopped nuts (any kind)
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups apple juice
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil or canola oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup blackstrap molasses
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- - dried fruit (your choice)

Step 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees (F). Combine dry ingredients (except fruit) in a large bowl.

Step 2In a large saucepan combine brown sugar, vanilla, honey, molasses, and apple juice. Heat, do not boil, until sugar is dissolved.

Step 3Stir into dry ingredients until well coated

Step 4onto baking pan or cookie sheet (in batches). Bake 20-30 minutes; stirring occasionally to prevent burning

Step 5Allow to cool. Mix in the dried fruit. Place in large container.
