How to Make DALLAS' CHEX MIX

Step-by-Step

  1. Gather ingredients. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Line 2 rimmed baking sheets with aluminum foil (foil is optional, but makes for easier clean-up;) set aside.
  2. To an extra large bowl, add cereals, cashews, pretzels and crackers; toss to combine. Set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, or in microwave, melt 1 1/2 sticks butter.
  4. To the butter, add worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder and onion powder; stir until well combined.
  5. Drizzle butter mixture over cereal mixture, using a large spoon to toss cereal to coat evenly.
  6. Spread mixture evenly on prepared sheetpans. Bake at 250 degrees F for one hour total, stirring and alternating positions, every 15 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool before storing in airtight container. To hasten cooling, you may spread it on paper towels on the counter, if desired.
