Ingredients
- 3 cups corn chex cereal
- 3 cups rice chex cereal
- 3 cups wheat chex cereal
- 2 cups cashews
- 2 cups pretzels
- 2 cups cheez-it crackers or goldfish
- 1 1/2 sticks salted butter, (12 tablespoons)
- 4 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon seasoned salt (lawry's)
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
How To Make dallas' chex mix
-
Step 1Gather ingredients. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Line 2 rimmed baking sheets with aluminum foil (foil is optional, but makes for easier clean-up;) set aside.
-
Step 2To an extra large bowl, add cereals, cashews, pretzels and crackers; toss to combine. Set aside.
-
Step 3In a saucepan over medium heat, or in microwave, melt 1 1/2 sticks butter.
-
Step 4To the butter, add worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder and onion powder; stir until well combined.
-
Step 5Drizzle butter mixture over cereal mixture, using a large spoon to toss cereal to coat evenly.
-
Step 6Spread mixture evenly on prepared sheetpans. Bake at 250 degrees F for one hour total, stirring and alternating positions, every 15 minutes.
-
Step 7Allow to cool before storing in airtight container. To hasten cooling, you may spread it on paper towels on the counter, if desired.
