Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 3/4 cup pine nuts
  • 3/4 cup shelled pumpkin seeds (peptitas)
  • 1/3 cup shelled pistachios
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more, to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make spicy pistachio, nut & seed mix

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Coat a 15x10x1-inch baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, combine pecans, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, pistachios and oil.
  • Step 3
    Mix in sugar, 3/4 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper and salt; make sure all nuts are covered.
  • Step 4
    Spoon nuts evenly across pan and place in oven. Bake about 15 to 20 minutes or until nuts are brown, shake pan frequently.
  • Step 5
    Remove from oven and cool. Store in airtight container.
