Ingredients
- 1 to 1 1/2 pounds raw almonds (or pecans, peanuts or mixed nuts)
- 1 - egg white
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 teaspoons salt
How To Make spicy almonds

Step 1In a bowl, lightly beat egg white and water until foamy.

Step 2Add almonds and stir until all coated.

Step 3In another bowl, mix all spices. Add almonds and stir to coat.

Step 4Preheat oven to 250F. Place almonds on a baking sheet in one layer. Bake for 1 hour, stirring and re-layering the nuts every 15 minutes.

Step 5Loosen the almonds with spatula but leave on the baking sheet until cool.

Step 6Store in airtight container.
