How to Make Roasting Chestnuts
- 1Set your oven for 425'F.
Make a slice along the round mounded edge of each chestnut. Make sure you cut right through the shell.
- 2Put them in a saucepan and cover with water.
- 3Bring to a simmer.
- 4Remove from the pot and put into a heat proof dish.
- 5Bake for 15 minutes.
- 6Put in a towel and leave for 15 minutes so the steam can help soften the chestnuts.
