How to Make Roasting Chestnuts


  1. Set your oven for 425'F.
    Make a slice along the round mounded edge of each chestnut. Make sure you cut right through the shell.
  2. Put them in a saucepan and cover with water.
  3. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Remove from the pot and put into a heat proof dish.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Put in a towel and leave for 15 minutes so the steam can help soften the chestnuts.
  7. Enjoy!
