This is my Mother's recipe and it is very special. She went through many, many recipes for granola before she perfected this one. It's the best granola I've ever had and you'll love it too!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, broken in large pieces
- 2 cups quaker oats
- 2 cups sliced almonds
- 2 cups coconut, shredded sweet
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1 cup sunflower seeds (no shells)
- 1 1/2 cups honey (wildflower preferred)
- 3/4 cup peanut oil
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup dried currants
- 1 cup dried banana chips sweet

Step 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Step 2Combine all ingredients in a bowl except the last three.

Step 3Mix thoroughly and spread on a baking sheet at 300°F for about 1 hour or until browned.

Step 5After baking, mix in last three ingredients.
