This healthy trail mix was given to me by a friend who used it for a 4H cooking show-- I have loved it ever since. I like that there is no granola in it.

Ingredients

1 c
whole almonds
1 c
dried cranberries
2 c
small pretzels
1/2 c
sugar
1
egg white
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
cinnamon

How to Make Cranberry Trail Mix

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350
  • 2Spread almonds evenly on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • 3Bake 7*10 minutes or until nuts are slightly darker in color. Cool completely in pan.
  • 4Reduce oven temperature to 225*
  • 5In a large bowl, combine almonds, cranberries, & pretzels.
  • 6In a small bowl, beat egg white until foamy. Pour over pretzel mixture. Toss until well coated.
  • 7In another small bowl combine remaining ingredients. Sprinkle over pretzel mixture and toss till well coated.
  • 8Spread evenly on a greased baking sheet. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely on pan. Store in an airtight container
