betty's easy candied maple pecans

Just 2 ingredients, and only 15 minutes cooking time. Pecans drenched in sweet maple syrup and baked until sticky and delicious. These pecans are the perfect addition to make a simple salad "sparkle" or as a sweet snack. This is not a toffee recipe, so the maple syrup with remain slightly sticky and glossy.

Ingredients For betty's easy candied maple pecans

  • 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped (not too small or they will burn)
  • 1/4 sup maple syrup

How To Make betty's easy candied maple pecans

    Pre-heat oven to 375oF/180oC and line a baking tray with baking paper.

    In a bowl combine the pecans and syrup. Pour on to the baking tray and arrange the pecans so they are not over lapping.

    Pop into the oven, bake for 7 minutes. Stir and return for a further 6-8 minutes. Cool on the tray.

    Use to garnish salads or enjoy as a sweet snack.
