We LOVE these super simple crackers! To keep them handy for snacking, I try to make them once a week. I use only 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper because we don't like them to be too spicy.

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 package ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 box whole grain saltines

How To Make uncle john's spiced crackers

  • Step 1
Open crackers into large, lidded container, such as a one gallon jar or a 32 cup bowl.
  • Step 2
Mix all spices and dressing mix together in a small bowl. Add oil and mix together.
  • Step 3
Pour spiced oil over crackers. Put lid on container and gently roll every 15 minutes for 2 hours to evenly coat crackers.
  • Step 4
Remove crackers to clean container. Will keep in air tight container for 6 weeks, but they'll be eaten before then!
