parmesan crackers
was going thru old low fat recipe books and found this. It is hard finding flavored crackers without all the sodium and addatives. these sound good and thought I'd share

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups quick oats, uncooked
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup reduced calorie margarine
- 1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons water
- - vegetable cooking spray
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
How To Make parmesan crackers

Step 1Combine first six ingredients in a large bowl

Step 2Cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs

Step 3Add water and stir just until mixture is moistened

Step 4Place dough on a large baking sheet, sprayed with cooking spray

Step 5roll dough into a 12 1/2" X 12 " rectangle

Step 6cut dough into 60 squares. Use a ruler, or something with a square edge( to score) and using a knife, or pizza cutter cut the squares. 2 1/2" X 1" squares. pierce squares with a fork and sprinkle with cheese

Step 7bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven 22 to 24 minutes or until crisp and lightly browned

Step 8cool, and store in airtight container

Step 9Calories : 23 fat 0.7 g carb. 3.5 g sodium 24 mg.
