How to Make Fennel Crackers
- In a bowl, using a fork, mix the flour and baking powder. Mash in butter until blended. Add the milk, fennel seeds and egg and stir until a dough begins to form.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and lightly knead until smooth. Flatten into a disk, divide into 4 parts, wrap each in plastic and refrigerate until chilled, at least an hour.
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Roll out 1 part directly onto a lightly greased cookie sheet or silicone baking mat, making it as thin as possible. Sprinkle with 1/8 of the salt and use the rolling pin to force it into the dough.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Repeat with 3 remaining parts.
