cheese wafers
(1 RATING)
It is tradition in our family to make these and take them on vacation every year. They are so delicious that we have to make three batches but still have to ration them out! We like spicy so we add more than what the recipe calls for.

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili pepper
- 1 cup pecans, chopped

-
Step 2After all flour mixture has been mixed in, take out of machine and fold in nuts. Shape dough into to logs and wrap in waxed paper. Chill for at least 2 hours.
-
Step 3When ready to bake, heat oven to 375. Slice logs as you would cookies; about 1/8 to 1/4 inches thick. Cook on un-greased cookie sheet for 8 - 10 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
