We have a wonderful greek bakery here where we buy our pita bread dirt cheap. Even if you buy in regular grocery store, these are much cheaper than commercial chips.
- small pita bread

- sea salt (optional)
- sesame seeds (optional)
How to Make HOMEMADE PITA CHIPS BY SALLYE
- 1Preheat oven to 350º
Line baking sheet with parchment paper (optional)
- 2Separate as many pita bread slices as you wish (I usually do 4 at a time - 8 halves)
Cut each half into 6 pie shaped wedges and place on baking sheet in a single layer
Spray with cooking spray
- 3Sprinkle salt and sesame seeds over wedges, making sure the salt and seeds adhere (use a little more spray if necessary but don't overspray)
- 4Cook for 10+ minutes until chips are golden brown
Transfer to cooling rack.
When cool, if not using right away, store in ziplock bag or covered container.
