If you have never eaten homemade potato chips that are still warm, man you don't know what you are missing.

Ingredients

  • 2 large baking potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt

How To Make homemade bbq potato chips

  • Step 1
    wash and scrub potatoes. then slice thin with a mandolin if you have one, about 1/8 of an inch thick. soak the potato slices in ice water for 30 mins to remove the starch. remove from water and pat dry.
  • Step 2
    mix all the seasonings.
  • Step 3
    deep fry in batches. flip them a lot to brown both sides. cook for 3-4 mins per batch. remove from oil onto a paper toweled plate just for a few seconds then transfer to a bowl and add some of the seasoning and toss while still hot until evenly coated. rinse and repeat until all potatoes have cooked.
