Baked Lime Tortilla Chips

D Courtney

Got this from another recipe site and needed to have this here for reference. I bake these all of the time as they are healthy and cheap to make!

2 tsp
coarse sea salt
lime, juiced
whole small white corn tortilla shells
6 Tbsp
warmed bacon fat or olive oil

1Preheat oven to 350. Place salt in small bowl and juice from lime (about 1/4 cup).
2Brush both sides of the whole tortillas with the bacon fat. Cut into fourths (or how small you want them). Place on metal pan and brush with the lime/salt mixture. Don't overlap the tortillas. Bake 10-14 minutes, turning over halfway through. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.
3You can season to your own liking, using more or less salt in the lime mixture (if any at all). I have also used olive oil instead of the bacon grease and it works just fine.
