Ingredients

1 c
uncooked rice
1 medium
onion, diced
1 medium
green bell pepper, diced
3
ribs of celery, diced
1/2 c
butter
1 Tbsp
sugar
1-2 medium
jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
2 can(s)
cream style corn (17 oz each)
1 c
grated cheddar cheese

How to Make ZINGY CORN CASSEROLE (SALLYE)

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cook rice according to package directions, set aside

    Preheat oven to 325º

    Grease a 2 quart casserole dish (9" x 13")
  • 2Saute onion, bell pepper and celery in butter until tender

    Combine with all other ingredients in a large bowl, mix well
  • 3Pour ingredients into greased casserole dish and place in oven

    Bake at 325º for 30 minutes
