For ease of making, I have since discovered the frozen pearl onions...hey use them! This is just a delicious sauce on these onions. I added quite a few things to the original recipe to give it just the right taste.

Ingredients
- 1 pound bag frozen pearl onions
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk or cream
- 3 tablespoons parmesean cheese, divided
- 6 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- pinch - nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon worchestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
How To Make yum yuns

Step 1Cover pearl onions and cook in microwave to package directions.

Step 2While onions cook, make sauce.

Step 3Melt butter in large sauce pan, add flour and cook just a minute.

Step 4Add milk, stirring constantly just a little at a time until mixture is smooth, add cream cheese and stir until cream cheese melts.

Step 5Add 2 tablespoons parmesean cheese, mustard, nutmeg, hot sauce, and worcestershire sauce.

Step 6Drain onions, and add to cream mixture.

Step 7Grease a cassserole, pour in onion mixture, sprinkle on the reserved 1 tablespoon parmesean cheese and the almonds.

Step 8Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for an hour or until browned and bubbly
