These are a favorite of my husband served on home made wheat rolls. They have the texture of a crab cake. soft and moist.

progreso lentil soup
1 Tbsp
olive oil
3 clove
garlic, diced
1/2 medium
onion, diced
1 large
carrot, shredded
1 tsp
1 Tbsp
soy sauce
3/4 c
rolled oat, finely ground
3/4 c
italian breadcrumbs

How to Make Vegan Lentil Burgers


  • 1Fry the onions, carrot, and garlic in the oil until soft, it will take about 5 minutes.
  • 2Add Lentil soup and Heat thru.
  • 3In a bowl mix the cooked ingredients with the pepper, soy sauce, oats and bread crumbs.
  • 4While still warm, form the lentil mixture into patties, which can now be frozen, refrigerated (for up to 5 days), or cooked immediately.
  • 5Burgers can then be shallow fried for 1-2 minutes on each side or baked at 400F. for 15 minutes.
