I have to have tomatoes made this way every year. Any tomato will do. This is also good with sliced, seeded cucumber.

Ingredients
- 2 medium tomatoes, fresh
- 1 small scallion, sliced thin
- 4 sprigs basil, fresh
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make tomato salad

Step 1Slice tomatoes and arrange on 4 salad plates. (can use lettuce as a bed if desired)

Step 2Slice scallion and sprinkle evenly over the 4 servings of tomatoes

Step 3shred basil leaves and sprinkle evenly over the 4 servings of tomatoes

Step 4Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar over each serving.

Step 5Add salt and pepper as desired

Step 6serve immediately

Step 7Using 2 cups Cherry tomatoes:

Step 8cut each tomato in half and put in medium bowl

Step 9sprinkle remaining ingredients over tomato halves and toss until coated
