A family favorite that goes well with any meal. You may use fresh green beans or frozen whole green beans.

1 Tbsp
sesame oil or olive oil
1 Tbsp
2 Tbsp
minced garlic
finely chopped green onions
1 Tbsp
chilli garlic sauce or season to taste
1 tsp
rice or white vinigar
1 tsp
4 Tbsp
soy sauce or season to taste
1 tsp
corn starch
2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
browned sesame seed

How to Make Szechuan Green Beans


  • 1Heat oil in skillet on Medium heat.
  • 2Add Green Beans and cook uncovered until tender and slightly caramelized. (approx 20 Mins) Stir often.
  • 3Remove Beans from pan and set aside. In same pan add oil and heat.
  • 4Add Ginger, Garlic and onion. Cook 1 minute.
  • 5Then add garlic chilli sauce, vinigar, soy sauce, sugar, and corn starch mixed with water. Cook until sauce thickens a minute or so.
  • 6Add green beans back to mixture and toss to coat completely. Sprinkle with Sesame Seed and stir. Serve hot
