sauerkraut

onion
1 Tbsp
oil or butter
salt or spices

How to Make Swiss Style Sauerkraut

Step-by-Step

  • 1Put one tablespoon of oil or butter in a pot
  • 2Cut the onion into small pieces and put it in the pot too
  • 3Add the sauerkraut
  • 4Add some salt or spices
    Heat up, then reduce heat and stew for about 60 to 90 minutes, move the sauerkraut from time to time
  • 5Add some water if necessary.
  • 6If you wish to serve potatoes and/or meat with the sauerkraut, cook it in the same pot.
