stir-fried peppers and snow peas

One of the vegetables I have success with in the garden are bell peppers. This is to help use some of them up!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon light sesame oil
  • 2 medium yellow bell peppers, cut into julienne strips
  • 2 medium red bell peppers, cut into julienne strips
  • 12 ounces fresh snow pea pods
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sake
  • 8 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • SPICY GARLIC SAUCE
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons light sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili paste

How To Make stir-fried peppers and snow peas

  • Step 1
    Pour 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon sesame oil around the top of a preheated wok or large skillet, coating the sides; heat at medium high (375º) for 2 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Add the peppers and snow peas, and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the sake, and stir-fry 1 minute. Add the green onions and Spicy Garlic Dressing. Stir fry for 45 seconds. Serve immediately.
  • Step 3
    For the Spicy Garlic Dressing: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl; stir well.
