Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and halved if desired
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
- 1/4 cup almonds, slivered
- 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted
- - juice from 1 lemon (to taste)
- - kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
How To Make steamed green beans with almonds

Step 1Steam the green beans until tender, about 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 2Heat the oil in a saute` pan and add the almond slivers. Saute over medium heat until lightly browned, about 2 minutes.

Step 3Add the green beans and butter. Turn of the heat and give it a squeeze of lemon juice. Toss together and season to taste with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
