This is good with any meal.Its really good in the summer with fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound broccoli florets
  • 12 - baby carrots or about 1/2 pound of regular carrots cut into 2 inch chunks
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • - salt
  • - pepper

How To Make steamed broccoli &carrots

  • Step 1
    Break broccoli into florets.Discard large stems.Trim stems;cut stems into slices.
  • Step 2
    Place 2 to 3 inch of water and steamer basket in large saucepan;bring water to boil.
  • Step 3
    Add broccoli and carrots ;cover.steam about 8 to 10 min or until vegetables are crisp-tender.Place vegetables in serving bowl.Add butter;toss lightly to coat.Season to taste with salt and pepper.
