"This is a great way to use up yellow squash out of the garden or out of the freezer."

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced yellow squash
  • 2 packages cornbread mix, cooked
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 pound velvetta cheese

How To Make squash dressing

  • Step 1
    Cook cornbread according to package instructions. Cube squash and simmer in a pot with onioins and butter and salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    When cornbread is done crumble in with cooked squash, add soup and cheese, Mix well. Pour into a baking dish, that has been sprayed with pam, bake for 25 min at 350*
