Spinach Salad with poppy seed dressing

Sherry Word

OMG!!! This salad is to die for. I got this recipe from a family reunion. At first I didn't want to try it because of the mixture of stuff I just didn't like fruit and salad dressing together. I'm so glad I did try it, because I went up for not 1 time but probably 4 times and finished off the salad myself. I know your thinking OMG what a pig of me and your right, but it is absolutely delicious! I just had to get the recipe from my husbands relation...so hear it is, I added the almonds but you don't have to if you don't like them. I hope you all enjoy it.!

bag of spinach
1 pt
fresh strawberries, sliced
1 can(s)
(6 oz) mandarin oranges
1/4 c
chopped onion
1/2 c
slithered toasted almonds, (optional)

1/2 c
1/3 c
1/4 c
1 Tbsp
poppy seed
1/2 tsp
worchestershire sauce
1/4 tsp

How to Make Spinach Salad with poppy seed dressing

  • 1Clean stawberries and slice. Drain oranges.
  • 2Add spinach,strawberries,oranges, and onions together.
  • 3Mix up all the ingredients for the dressing
  • 4I mix my salad and dressing altogether, but it gets kind of soggy looking and everything sinks to the bottom. Layering the salad would look much prettier and stay together more. So however you choose to mix it is up to you.
  • 5Add slithers of toasted almonds on top.
