Ingredients For spinach and paneer in a cream sauce

  • 1 lb
    fresh spinach, washed and stemmed
  • 1 Tbsp
    ghee
  • 2 tsp
    ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp
    turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garam masala
  • 2 pinch
    asafetida
  • 3 Tbsp
    water
  • 2/3 c
    sour cream
  • 8 oz
    paneer, cubed
  • 1 tsp
    kosher-type salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    sugar

How To Make spinach and paneer in a cream sauce

    Chop the washed and drained spinach into small pieces. Heat the ghee in a saucepan over medium heat and fry the powdered spices for a moment to bring out the oils.

    Place the chopped spinach into the saucepan with 3 tbsp. of water. Cover and gently cook until the spinach is tender - approx. 10 minutes.

    Fold in the sour cream and the cubes of paneer. Add the salt and sugar, stir well. Continue cooking on low heat for approx. 5 minutes.
