Ingredients
- 11/2 pounds fresh brussel sprouts
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cans water in tomato sauce can
- 2 teaspoons knorr tomato bouillon with chicken flavor
- 1/2 tablespoon zatarain's garlic and herb seasoning
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
How To Make blackened brussels sprouts!

Step 1Prepare Brussels sprouts by rinsing with cold water, removing tough ends and slicing from top to half way down each sprout.

Step 2Place bacon in hot deep frying pan. add chopped onion and brussel sprouts on top of bacon. After bacon is nice and brown, flip mixture till onions and brussel sprouts are in bacon drippings. Cook on medium high till sprouts are very brown on all sides.

Step 3Pour 8 oz. of tomato sauce in pan and add tomato bouillon to water in can. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer till tender. 45 to 60 min.
