simple glazed carrots
An absolute favorite that is frequently requested, especially by my husband. It doesn't take much attention so it works well into a meal that requires more of your attention.

Ingredients
- 1 pound carrots, peeled
- 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons sugar, divided
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut into 4 pieces
- pepper, to taste
How To Make simple glazed carrots

Step 1Slice the carrots into 1/4" slices, on the bias. Ina 12" skillet, combine the carrots, broth, 1 tablespoon of the sugar and the salt.

Step 2Cover the skillet and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to a simmer & let it cook until the carrots are almost tender which will take aobut 5 minutes.

Step 3Uncover the skillet, and let carrots until most of the liquid has evaporated, about another 2 minutes.

Step 4Slowly add in the butter, stir to combine with the liquid, and 2 Tablespoons of the sugar. Continue to cook and stir until the carrots are completely tender and getting glazed, about another 2 minutes longer. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
