I really don't know how to describe this recipe. It's just a really tasty way to get my children to eat green beans. It was never my favorite vegetable, but this recipe brought it up to Mmmmmmmm level.

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound green beans, fresh, frenched
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- - salt and ground pepper to taste
- - lemon wedges optional
How To Make sicilian green beans

Step 1Trim ends off the beans, French them with the top of a potato peeler ( special gadget ) Or use French Style frozen green beans.

Step 2In skillet, heat butter and olive oil, add onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add string beans and sauté stirring until JUST cooked but not soft. Season with salt and pepper

Step 3Transfer to serving bowl and serve with lemon wedges. So easy, so good.
