Sicilian green Beans

1/2 lbgreen beans, fresh, frenched
1 Tbspminced garlic
1/2 mediumyellow onion, diced
1 Tbspolive oil
·salt and ground pepper to taste
·lemon wedges optional
How to Make Sicilian green Beans
- Trim ends off the beans, French them with the top of a potato peeler ( special gadget )
Or use French Style frozen green beans.
- In skillet, heat butter and olive oil, add onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add string beans and sauté stirring until JUST cooked but not soft. Season with salt and pepper
- Transfer to serving bowl and serve with lemon wedges. So easy, so good.
