Ran across this while browsing an old recipe book. Haven't tried it, but I love grilled or sauted cabbage so will do so soon. This sounds like what my grandmother used to make, only she used regular cabbage not red.

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter (i will probably use olive oil)
- 2 tablespoons minced onions
- 6 cups shredded red cabbage
- 6 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon caraway seeds

Step 1In cast iron or heavy skillet, melt butter or pour in olive oil and saute onions until just tender Add the remaining ingredients, cover and simmer until just until tender Serve while hot
